Cathay Pacific Catering Services (CPCS) is the principal airline caterer in Hong Kong and one of the largest flight kitchens in the World. Working in partnership with some 50 international airlines, CPCS can supply more than 30 million meals a year.
The foreground of the eCard features a Chinese candy box, which is a perfect representation as food plays an integral role in Chinese New Year celebrations and is also an essential part of CPCS' daily operations. The animation showcases the catering process of CPCS, from meal preparation to delivery onto aircraft, drawing inspiration from the famous painting "Along the River During Qingming Festival" which depicts daily life and culture in China during the early 12th century. The abundance of traditional Chinese New Year candies symbolises the viewers' wish for abundant wealth and prosperity.
